I'm one of the early project members who answered the call from Senator McCoy to help create a site for citizens to participate in Budget 2009. My interest with this project is to help facilitate dialogue between citizens and those employed to act in the public's interest. Reading between the lines of the dialogue on transparency and accountability, I look for ways to help expand citizen participation beyond voting and into real engagement in the democratic process by taking advantage of Internet tools and culture of collaboration.
