This site was created by volunteers to encourage the participation of Canadians in real-time monitoring of the government's spending.  The budget is meant to help Canadians...so is it helping you? 

The federal government has put together Budget 2009, a 2 year stimulus package to help boost the Canadian economy. The government says it wants the stimulus to be both targeted and timely.  How will they, and we, know if the programs are working?  Government reporting is a long and slow process.  The entire cycle may take too long to give the government enough information to adjust the programs.
